Anxiety is not a good condition for any person. When people are anxious, they often want to be surrounded with care from friends, family, or co-workers. This also applies to situations when a person cannot comprehend the situation he is currently in. However, businesses do not always fully take advantage of this scenario. Instead of dealing with customer anxiety on a more personal level, they redirect the customer to technology such as kiosks, smartphone apps, and others. In one experiment, participants who had contact with a live human person negated the effects of anxiety.
